THEORY OF A BRUTAL DUST

THEORY OF A
BRUTAL DUST

Imagenes de investigación visual desarrollada para futuro proyecto A ras de lo imposible.

Dust we are, to dust we shall return… and dust we shall collect.

A Brutal Dust begins with a material and conceptual contradiction: impossible dustpans made from concrete — a material associated with permanence, solidity and architecture — designed to contain something fragile, volatile and almost invisible: dust.

An object supposedly made to collect, clean and remove becomes deliberately unusable: anchored, heavy, immovable.

And therefore contemplative.

Solemn.

Hypnotic.

Its uselessness transforms the dustpan into a symbolic container, capable of collecting not only matter but also ideas, memories and existential residue.

The dustpan that collects nothing becomes a container for time and dust.
